May 17, Oslo and London- The Norwegian Royal Family celebrated National Day separately this year.Princess Martha Louise’s family took part in a parade in London, where they primarily reside. The Crown Princely family celebrated with the king and queen in Norway.

May 7, San Francisco- Day 3: Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway continued their official visit to the United States by traveling from Houston, Texas to San Francisco, California. Mette-Marit paid a solo visit to the Norwegian Seamen’s Church, where our very own Pogglepoppy caught a glimpse of her talking with the priest (brown blazer). Later, Haakon joined Mette-Marit at Slim’s Music Club to see the Norwegian Metal Band Kvelertak.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit are in Houston (May 5 & 6) for the annual Offshore Technology Conference. Tomorrow, they will officially open the new Norwegian Pavilion at the OTC.
